We first met Kaiser a few days ago when my Husband and I went to pick out a puppy from a local breeder. We weren't sure what to expect due to a language barrier. Luckily the breeder had a friend who speaks fairly good english and was able to help us communicate. When we got out of the car and got through the introductions the breeder made the universal tisk tisk sound to call the puppies over. In a flash a stampede of little fuzz balls came charging over to greet us. We were completely won over by the idea of getting a puppy in that moment. For a while we sat and received tiny kisses and gave all the love we could. Then they brought out the parents, and a grandmother, to sniff us and get their own rations of affection. After a few minutes the breeder began to give us a demonstration of the intelligence and training the father had. It was amazing to watch him go from just ambling around to a high prancing gate worthy of a show ring. You could see the love of preforming on his face that only a German Shepherd could have. We were told a long list of all the commands he knew including how to attack on command! We were very impressed by this point and knew that if this training and work went into the adults then the puppies would be worth it. The litter had at least 4 females, we aren't sure how many puppies there were because they were everywhere, and 3 males. My husband was set on having a boy because in his head he saw a large fluffy male in that proud GSD stance that everyone knows so well. So the breeder began to sort through the pups to find the males, handing us each a pup as he did but one little boy evaded him for a while but he was eventually found lying on a cool spot in the shade sound asleep without a care in the world. As he was pulled from his spot he wriggled to try and free himself to return to his nap. When our eyes saw him we knew he was the one. A big pot belly and paws to match, we were told he was the first pup born and that he was going to be very similar to his father. We were in love. After some more business talk we reluctantly set him down to leave, because he is still too young to leave his mother, with a bitter sweet goodbye we left him, promising to visit every chance we could until he could come home. Just 22 more days until we bring home Kasier.
